Gather Your Family

The house owner was done with their original kitchen. They said it was tired, dated and had exposed brick work. They wanted to modernise it to suit the rest of the property. That is when they called Joyce Kitchens for a kitchen renovation in Forrestfield, Perth.

Listening to the customer’s needs, our interior designer drew a 3D image of their dream kitchen. This gave them an idea of what their renovated kitchen would look like. And with the final adjustments of the design, the renovation project got started.

We removed the existing brick nib wall that closed in the kitchen. Because it made the overall area seem cramped and cut off from the rest of the open plan living area.

We covered the oven stack with a stunning 6mm porcelain splashback in Storm Negro by Absolute Stone. Porcelain has many benefits. Not only is it heat proof, it can also be used to cover large areas without having to grout every 200mm like tiles. Porcelain benchtops and splashbacks are versatile, easy to maintain and without a doubt bring an affordable luxury to any renovation.

We completely modernised the dated exposed brick pillar into a focal point of the kitchen. Because of the continuation from oven stack to splashback in the Porcelain.

The use of white gloss doors with the limited-edition Koko granite benchtop (Absolute Stone) provides a timeless look. This look is softened with the natural timber capping. We extended the granite benchtop so it can be used as a breakfast bar. The family can now gather here for breakfast, a snack or a drink.
