Joyce Kitchens Senior Designer Simon Cox (BA Hons) is a well experienced, versatile designer known for blending contemporary innovation with classical craftsmanship. Simon is regarded among the top kitchen designers Perth, bringing tailored solutions to each client’s brief.
Simon – who first worked with Joyce Kitchens back in 1998 – designed the flagship display kitchens in our showroom, which carefully consider local customers’ expectations, the styles of homes in Perth and the Western Australian lifetstyle.
‘There’s a great respect for quality and our customers love to have advanced design,’ Simon said.
‘We’re not afraid to explore designs that are different, indeed, that’s what we offer at Joyce – the ability to manufacture just about anything – we design, engineer and then build to individual specifications.’
Simon notes that most kitchen trends originate out of Europe, however they generally develop an Australian twist.
‘We prefer to have our kitchens custom-designed and built-to-fit, whereas there seems to be a lot more of the ‘cookie-cut’ mass-produced kitchens in Europe, even at the higher end.’
Simon, who has won many HIA kitchen design awards, sees curves making their way back into kitchen design as we move into the next decade and there’s demand for matte fingerprint-proof finishes.
If he does get spare time, his favourite activities these days include gardening, bush walking and cycling.
